SEASONS OF THE HUMAN SPIRIT: Patterns and Passages of Jewish Life

DESCRIPTION: There are moments in the life of every human being which are very personal and very sacred. In the life of the Jew; birth, Bar and Bat Mitzvah, marriage and death, individual as they are, are also family events, celebrated in the presence of the Jewish community, represented at these times by the presence of a Minyan, a group of ten Jewish adults.  This exhibition consisted of objects about the Jewish life cycle from the TJMuseum permanent collection, loaned objects and contemporary art work by Elsa Wachs,  Esta Cassway and Mordechai Rosenstein and an installation of family photographs collected from congregants and friends of the museum.
