A Hazak Celebration!

In order to celebrate Hazak* and, specifically, the project to name the Rabbinic Chair in honor of our Rabbi, Lance J. Sussman, we have “Raised a Chair” in the Jewish tradition.
Individual members of the greater KI community and groups such as Preschool; JQuest; Women of KI; the Myers Library and members of the TJM Artists’ Collaborative accepted the challenge to create a fun and beautiful work of art.
Now you can own one of these spectacular works of art – or gift one to KI/TJM – through our Silent Auction. All funds raised benefit Hazak.
We took our inspiration from chairs in the Jewish tradition such as Elijah’s Chair, wedding chair, Bar/bat mitzvah chair, Seder chair, empty chair, Sukkah chair, mourning stool, Rabbinic chair, etc.
*Hazak is a fundraising initiative to help secure the financial future of the Keneseth Israel congregation.
